ID requests at 123rf

(1/2) > >>

fintastique:
I have heard 123rf are starting to ask for verification of identity (scanned passport ID card) by e-mail. They also have a link on their website unfortunately they seem to be blissfully ignorant of ID theft so the link isn't to a secure server.

Of course I uploaded my passport pic to FT, iStock and SS months ago without thinking but now I am paranoid.

I suppose the rest will get wise eventually.

fintastique:
I e-mailed them about the lack of security and now you can upload your ID to a secure server  ;D

Not there are many of us that are close to the $100 limit, not likely for me this month unless there is a big rush at the end of the month

madelaide:
I didn't receive any email about this ID upload.  What are the rules?

Regards,
Adelaide

Boylet:

--- Quote ---The photographer ID submission page is encrypted with a 128 bit SSL. You may click on the Secured Lock icon (bottom right) to see the security certificate.

Make sure the ID is submitted through https://submit.123rf.com/submit_id.php

Just got this reply from 123RF. I think they already addressed the security issues related to uploading the IDs

leaf:
i haven't received the request.  I wonder what it is all about.
