I have a refund for 32 cents which is dated 2017-09-18.

Simply unbelievable.

I have written to them to ask for this to be reversed.

Who the heck ask for a refund of 32 cents from over THREE YEARS AGO?

same to me, same date.

they are very close to be rejected for me as agency I submit my files.

Personally I have thought in the past that these 'refunds' are not refunds at all, but a way of taking revenue 'Fraud' from us the contributors.

If you have the same date, this can be no coincidence, and must be fraud.

If I don't get a satisfactory reply I will stop uploading to them.

This could very well be a precursor to the site going into liquidation, if they are having to defraud contributors with these refunds from years ago.

It could also be a correction.

Thank you for that, but I am not sure that can be the case as it says:-

I heard  that they pretty much run on an autopilot. This case proofs it very well. If a human was involved, a refund from 2017 would not be possible. They are becoming a big disappointment.

I also got two a couple of days ago, from 2018-03-07.  :-\

First a refund for 2018 showed up but yesterday I had a couple of refunds for 2009 and 2010.
Maybe their financial system was on hold and will it start adding earnings for earlier years as well?

I'm getting these too now. I agree that taking this cash 13 years later or whatever can't be legal. Are there any lawyers about who know how this works in terms of legal time limits?

Since 8 April 2022 every day two refunds from 2013, 2014, 2016, 2021, 2022.
I wrote them, but they did not reply. So I started deleting my images. Everyday I will remove part of my portfolio.
Enough is enough!

It seems they're grabbing all the cash they can before walking out the door. At the expense of the contributors. Obviously there is no actual client that asks for a refund after 10 years plus. But they can take it away from you if you had any surplus with them by playing this game.
So, another one bites the dust.
Who's next :) ? Dreamstime or Alamy or another small player?

Just checked today and found two refunds from 2021-11-30 and 2016-08-15. Both were originally downloaded on those dates. Hard to believe that it can be financially worthwhile to go back so many years for half a 25 cents. Unless, of course this is the tip of a dirty iceberg heading our way.

I see a sub from 2010. Wow, we got .36 for subs back then. My 2021 refund is only for .216. I don't feel like my income is doubling,

This is getting ridiculous.  Every time I make 3-4 sales, 3-4 refunds are issues for older sales.  This just started for me in April.  Something doesn't smell right.

Can someone put a screenshot in here, where you find that refunds?

Either I haven't had any refunds yet or I'm too stupid to find them :-)

Thanks

It seems I don't have refunds yet, maybe it is because I do not have images older than 3 years at 123rf... or the refunds will come soon

Im over this - just deleted all my images (10k+) and told them to close my account. They have become less and less relevant - Not even making payout last month for the first time in over 10 years.

Thank you for contacting us.

The deduction you see in your earning balance indicates that the download was refunded.

Refunds may occur due to a number of reasons, such as the content not meeting client's requirements, fraudulent downloads, or credit card chargebacks. In cases such as credit card chargebacks, it may take a few weeks to months before the refund is reflected in your account, due to the processing times involved of the banks of both parties, in addition to the manual verification that needs to be done by our finance personnel.

Thank you for your kind understanding and patience in this matter.

Hope this clarifies, please contact us again if you require any further clarification.

Hurray! Another copy & paste answer where the person replying didn't even read the question! Just gotta love these.

I don't have a port with 123RF, so it doesn't affect me, but I have been following this thread, because I really would like to know how an agency can justifiy any kind of refund after as long as 10 years. We all know it's not any of the reasons given in the explanation: Doesn't meet client's requirement and it took the client 10 years to notice that? Eh, no. After 10 years, whatever the image was bought for, it has already been used.  Fraudulent downloads, or credit card chargebacks? Also no, because unlike stock agencies, no credit card company will allow a chargeback after 10 years. Also doesn't explain why everyone is suddenly seeing a mass of daily refunds.

Also seeing refunds of 2011, 2013, 2016 etc. for more than 6 days now - and hardly any new sales.  What is going on there?  Are they "cleaning up" old stuff and make us pay for it?

Same here. For me, it also started for the first time on April 8. Three refunds so far from 2020.

Over 20 refunds since april 12th and counting I guess.

I'm in this business since 2008 and never had many refunds but if they happened they occured most of the time with sales made by 123RF. Makes me wonder if their systems run well or are the 123RF clients so picky that they return files all the time? Is it easier to make a fraudulent purchase at 123RF?

Refunds for sales older that 6 months are unacceptable. No company allows you to return stuff after that time.

I got this as well, they are just lying, this has been going off and on for quite a few years, but in the last few years, they have stolen money more.
