Yesterday, I get 0.415 for 1 credit, today I got 0.50 for 1 credit. It looks like that the new price increase is taking effect.
Does anyone else notice that?
-
Something happened! I checked in to day and discovered I had one credit sale sint the 24TH of APR. My Credit sales went from $2.25 to $39.75? Must have been an Extended License sale. ???
-
Would certainly explain it! Congratulations!!! ;D
-
So why am I still getting 0,375 credit sales...?..
Patrick H.
-
Credit prices have always been variable at 123rf. We get a percentage (50% I think?) of what the credits actually sold for, so if the buyer purchased a larger package with a higher discount, we get less per credit than for the lower volume packages.
-
Alex,
Have the new prices gone into effect yet? I seem to remember it was to happen sometime in May.
Thanks,
Dan
-
New pricing credits will take effect today, 2nd May.
Please remember that old credits still retain their value, hence, it's 100% fair for everyone.
Thanks and let's look forward to a great future together! More sales!
-
Good news. I have recently started to upload to 123 and was a bit dissapointed in the earnings per sale for credit sales.
-
Glad I asked Alex, and thanks for the reply.
-
I love 123RF. It's maybe slow, but steady. And they are fair to us, photograhers.
-
This is ridiculous :
2 credits @ $0.350
1 download(s)
I might give them away, this is even much cheaper than subscriptions.
Patrick H.
-
My 3 credit sales today show as
5 credits @ $1.875 (2 dls)
3 credits @ $0.350 (1 dl)
I thought perhaps the credits were .35 cents each, but the day's credit total is $2.23 for the 3 images sold
Honestly, at those prices - and the fact that 123rf is consistently at the bottom of the monthly earnings totals - I'm seriously thinking of waiting for the next payout and exiting. It is a fairly consistent low performer, but I don't see what's the point in supporting a site that just reduced commissions - the 3 credit sale returned just under 12 cents per credit! If I'd sold it as a subscription item I'd have made 36 cents.
I think it's insane that credit sales can return less than a subscription download. There's something really whacked out about this. I was much better off under last month's pricing model than this.

Totally agree, this is outragous, the lowest of the lowest.
I was already thinking over of leaving because of the poor sales if things didn't change, but this.. let them have their EVO, but not at our expence.... djeezes...
-
Humm this is odd, looking back at last months Dl's I had:
10 credits @ $ 4.50
3 credits @ $ 1.125
2 credits @ $ 0.750
1 credit @ $ 0.375....
Comp glitches ? ???
-
Count me in as being extremely confused about how the new pricing works. Ugh.

We get a percentage of the actual price paid by the buyer, and their cost per credit varies with the different packages they buy. We get "lucky" with the buyers who go for small packages versus the ones with the big discounts.

You're right about this Jo Ann. This is an extreme disappointment.
Looking at my stats from April, I could have cut my agencies down to 5, from 9, and still kept 95% of my earnings. The lower performers are going to have to improve this year for me to continue with them. Half the work for 5% of the earnings doesn't make sense.
For what it's worth, I did make 1 sale for $1 today at 123RF. Will wait to see how my credit sales play out over the next month.

I still can't figure out how it all runs at 123rf.... last week I had a $44 sale.... have no idea what it was....
RIGHT NOW.... anyone having any trouble getting on 123? When I go to log on, I wind up with a blank screen....
-
Today I've got two images of:
4 credits @ $0.350 !!!
that means i've sold large sized (6mp) images for 35cents !!
Maybe I could have lived with that, if the sales were like SS, but they are not even close...
I'm leaving this site !!...
-
That really sucks, I wish Alex can clear this for us !

Hello Everyone,
Our IT team stayed back very late on Friday and are on high alert on the weekend (as am I) to ensure that:
1) the pricing packages were introduced smoothly,
2) along with the Mayday Special Extravaganza,
3) with the inclusion of EVO content,
4) new blog sizes and mega hi sizes, and
5) making sure that the searches were turning up content from both 123RF standard and EVO but not at everyone's expense while
6) making sure that the site doesn't go down at the same time.
I believe they did a helluva good job looking at their scary deliverables list.
Now, if you have any misgivings you wish to bring up, I welcome you to send the list to me: [email protected], it is entirely possible that the calculations for your earnings may have been somewhat missed in the process of rolling in the new packages.
Therefore, do give us the benefit of the doubt and yeah, the figures don't look very accurate. Nevertheless, we've logged the download sizes and credit pricing, what's left is to make sure they tally and the calculations are done properly.
I do apologize for the panic attack this has caused and do send them in, we're all ears and all complaints will be duly attended to.
Thank you all and I wish everyone the best!
Alex.

t is entirely possible that the calculations for your earnings may have been somewhat missed in the process of rolling in the new packages.
Alex, I appreciate the offer, but you have two or three examples right here you can go look at.
For a contributor, nothing is more important than correctly calculating sales and commissions. I have no idea what "somewhat missed" could possibly mean. If there is some sort of bug in the commission calculation, then use the above examples to fix it. Calculations are either right or wrong - there's no little bit pregnant.
I would think someone would know if a per-credit commission of 11.something or 9.something is even possible. The fact that you view that as within the realm of possibility is in itself a concern.
-
Hi Everyone,
Yes, we understand your concern, the mix up of old and new credit packages along with Mayday special is a little bit difficult to handle.
The price per credit of the old packages are being retained, while we have to calculate the new price per credit of the new packages. In addition to that, do remember that we're giving 30% extra credits (we bear this cost entirely by 123RF) to customers who purchased credit packages in May.
Therefore, I hope you can see that it's no small matter when a client downloads images using credits from any two of the sources above.
So please don't worry, we have logged everything, and if there's a problem we'll attend to it. It's a simple matter of making sure the proper calculations are being done accurately and correctly.
Thank you.
-
Alex, I don't ever remember seeing a per-credit commission less than 30 cents prior to May 2nd. I haven't kept detailed track, so of course I could be wrong about that.
When I look at the package prices advertised on the site for credits, it doesn't appear possible that there are credit prices for which our half would be 9-12 cents per credit.
Can you please tell us what the minimum price per credit is under the new pricing plan? Forget old credits or mixed credits or any of the complicated scenarios.
-
I had a two-credit sale today, US$0.35.
My previous lower, given the six months in which I started counting each sale, was US$0.375 - but that was for one-credit sales.
Please, Alex, explain is what is going on.
Edited: I have just checked package prices, it seems the most expensive is equivalent to US$0.70 per credit, therefore we should get US$0.35 per credit as a minimum and my two-credit sale today should have given me at least US$0.70.
Regards,
Adelaide

Hello Everyone,
Thank all of you for your patience, I'm glad to announce that the earnings reporting have been fixed, the amounts you now see should be the correct ones.
Please let us know if there are still any problems.
Thank you very much.
alex

I believe that the base pricing of the downloads are correct, however, the multiplier was not accurately factored in.
So basically 4 credits @ $0.35 should actually read: 4 credit @ $1.40.
However, I was informed the IT Team has edited things and now they accurately show the correct amounts.
Thank you!
Alex.
-
Thanks for the fix
Guess i'd have to keep an eye on it from now on ..
-
Alex, it was fixed for me, thanks for the help.
Now... did you hire the same IT people from FT? ::)
Regards,
Adelaide
-
Heavens! No! That would be so "conflict of interest" but I'm glad to say our team is pretty good. At least we met all our deliverables and I'm proud to be a member of the team!
We do fix things pretty fast, right?
To be fair - sometimes it's hard to juggle all that numbers and database entries but someone has to do it...
Thanks!

Just got an EL , 100 credits @ $36.50 will get a BME at 123rf this month ;D
-
Congrats on the EL. Had a good day there myself yesterday with 7 credit sales. They seem to be picking up the pace and credit sales are on the increase, which is very good to see, on target for a BME. Earnings so far this year are 3 x Crestock, nearly 2 x BigStock and snapping at the heels of DT. 123 is my new mover and shaker.

Yeah 123 is picking up for me also, currenty it's right behind SS and StockXpert!
-
123rf is still way behind SS and StockXpert for me but I had a good BME there last month and I should be able to best that this month. They are moving in the right direction.
-
Ok I am very lucky this month... second EL at 123rf for 100 credits today !!! ;D
-
Yes, 123RF appears to be making very good progress. Excellent web site - attractive, modern and functional.
-
So after the original snafu with the new credit prices not being calculated correctly, I've been watching the credit sales more closely to see what the prices are.
In general things have been as I've expected - 35 to 50 cents per credit. However, yesterday I got one sale for 3 credits at 75 cents - 25 cents a credit.
I thought 123rf was absorbing the cost of the 30% discount and that credit prices couldn't be that low. The most discounted package is 2500 credits for $1,750 which is 70 cents per credit (35 cents commission). Is this 25 cents a credit commission an error? Anyone else seen anything lower than 35 cents a credit?
-
I've just had a look at the sales for the last week and haven't got any at less than .375 a credit.

I got several of 0.25 dollar credits. I'm tired complaining, next payout i close my account over there.

April was a BME at 123rf for me :)

Alex just replied to my query about the 25 cent sales. Apparently there are some old credits that have an expiration date, and buyers are using them up. They had bigger discounts and lower prices than the current offerings.
As long as it's just old stuff (like the very occasional 10 cent sale via iStock from old credits) it's of less concern to me than some hidden low-price options on the new packages.
-
At least from my perspectivek ... 123rf seems to have been gaining some steam with their sales lately.

Why is it, that whenever I 'woohoo' something it turns to shite. Since my comment about 123 being my new mover and shaker the downloads pretty much stopped, nothing for over seven days, not even a cheeky subscription sale. Just me?
