I'm very surprised to see 123rf doing so well in earnings pool results. The score of 4.2 means for me that average photographer earns about 60% of SS or 70% of IS at 123rf!
It's not my case. In july 08 I got more at IS than in 26 months at 123rf! Am I only one unlucky person at 123 ?
Poll :
Let's say your best earner (usually SS or IS) is 100%. What part of this money you get (at the year) at 123 ?
Example:
Your IS earnings = 2000$ and 123rf earnings = 200$ -----> 200/2000 = 10%

Rene,
123 earns 18% of my best performer (SS), and 6% of my total portfolio. It has grown in percentage all year so far. It's not a knock out performance, but I am impressed with the improvement. They have passed FT for me, so it doesn't surprise me to see them even with FT in the poll.
-
In july the number was 15% but in August its much higer, around 30% (it's due to bad perfomance of SS and a possible BME at 123rf).
-
just about 3% of my earnings from 123RF and never been higher my best performer is IS with above 40% 123rf only equals to BS in my earnings chart.

well that 4.2 doesn't really mean anything compared to the 7.1 that shutterstock has. It is apparent that everyone votes differently. All that can be deducted by those numbers is which site is better than which other site.. and a somewhat idea of how close the race is.
A better idea of how much more once site earns (on average) than another site is the RPI statistics which are below the poll results. In those results, 123RF is 1/3 of what shutterstock is at, which is closer to the truth.

I am not sure about the RPI numbers. Is there a time component in the computation? Without that it would seem the site that had the pictures longer would always come out on top. Is that right?

Thanks guys. So it seems I'm the only one person selling nothing at 123rf (this month 3$). I was thinking about remove my portfolio but if 123rf works good for you I'll just stop uploading here. And wait.

yeah, it is return per image per month...
so the amount you made last month on that one site, divided by the total # of images you have on that site.

Best earner SS. 123RF = 16%

Just to update Rene's thread, 123RF is absolutely knocking the cover off the ball for me in the second half of August. I am already 50% over last month's BME for both downloads and earnings. I'm really impressed, as it looks like they will come in a solid #4 for me not too far behind Dreamstime.
Is anybody else observing a surge at 123RF? Whatever they are doing, it appears to be working. I'm glad to see a site which shares 50% of the commission with contributors gaining market share.
-
Yeah, I have my BME in August - about 40% better than July (2nd BME so far - 200% better than June). They really took off! Well done 123!
-
August is my BME there by more than 100% but I started back uploading there in may and went from about 50 to 200 photos so it is probably my portfolio growth that is starting to pay off. It's less than 5% of what I got from SS but I had to EL there in august so it is messing the stats a bit.

No surge here--I'm well on my way to a WME there (and I thought July was bad). But I'm glad that things are working out well for you. Hopefully things will pick up next month.
Do you have anything on their "Donate" list?

123RF is 7 % of my best earner (istock) and only 3% of my total earnings.
Very disappointing, since I have been contributing there since they opened and still can't manage to grow my income from them.

No way, I don't donate my photos to the microstocks. 8)
