Title: Rejection have skyrocketed
Post by: scribble on October 02, 2016, 22:52
I have been with 123RF for two years.  When I started, the approval process was quick and the acceptance rate was one of the highest.

Lately, the review process has dragged. I had photos in the pending bin since July.  After nudging them to review my photos, they obliged.  I went from a 90+% approval rate to a 75% rejection rate in one shot.  Most of the rejections were for pixilation, out of focus or poor composition.

I have done nothing different in my photo taking or my post processing.  In the past I may have gotten 10 photos rejected for this reason, now its most of my photos.

Has anyone else experienced this?  they have been one of my better earners, but if I this continues, I will have to leave them.

Yep happened to me on my last batch to early to say if its a change of policy or rogue reviewer. I do not view it as a reason to "leave" only sales drive that specially where upload is so easy

They've just stopped reviewing mine, been waiting 2-3 months when it used to be a week at most. Hope they don't reject them all as that will be the last they get from me.

Yep, I also got a few of these unexpected rejections for photos already approved by ALL other agencies I work with.
I give them the benefit of the doubt for "pixelation", maybe some photos were not properly uploaded.
But "poor composition" for a photo already sold through three other agencies, while waiting over 2 months for 123 to review it? Yeah, right!

Yes, my rejections have shot up too, never before seen in 9+ years with them. Mine are all for pixelation too.

No rejections here. Just nice sales every day.
Keep on rockin, 123...

I had a number of rejections lately as well. Most of them due to 'duplication' even though they're different. Another reason was "low commercial value". Sounds like they're getting stricter across the board. 123RF is still a decent agency. Sales have picked up recently and I like what I'm seeing.

They obviously have a major back log in reviewing so the simplest solution is to reject everything

Due to some bizarre error on the processing page my last batch of 230 images was duplicated three times and yet somehow the reviewer accepted them all leaving me to comb through and remove all the duplicate images manually. I'm not sure they even bother looking when it comes to illustrations.

I stopped uploading there due to the massive delays in reviewing, I don't like having images waiting for months, if they decide to artibarily rejecting images I will have wasted my time uploading big batches. I'd rather spend it on producing more content for places that will accept it and sell it. (or waste the time on here reading about rejections !!)

Why remove them? More visibility is always a good thing!

I recently had some ‘Brexit’ illustrations rejected for being ‘offensive’ ?????
Obviously the reviewer was a ‘remain’ voter.
