I want to delete my account over there but can't find a link to do that.  The faq doesn't even let you know how to do that either?  Am I just supposed to email support and ask?

Any help is appreciated.

Look for a thread on here titled something like "Preparing for Exclusivity".  I'm pretty sure that was the one where someone listed a link that would let you edit all the photos in your portfolio instead of having to go through month by month.  There was some discussion about ways to make it easier.  Contacting support may work, but if I recall correctly they just ask you to manually remove the files yourself.

You'll probably have to send a note to support. I needed to change my micro accounts email address because bad spammers got hold of it, and couldn't find a way to do it on site. Sent a note to 123 Support and they said "oh yeah - we do that". And it was taken care of promptly.

Good luck in your new venture ;-)

You have to go in your history I think, Then you will have the list of your approved images. Check the delete box and click submit at the bottom. I think you can delete 10 or 20 by pages.

If you really want to delete you whole account, you will need to copy and paste the part of the user agreement about account deletion and send your request to support. Which I didn't had to do for going exclusive. You can just delete your images and keep your username there, in case you go back. Good luck!

Yeah I'm not going exclusive anywhere.  I'm just tired of not making much of anything over there.  $2.16 since may 2009 not good.  I'd rather spend my time uploading to the other sites I'm on.  I'll have to wait until next week to take care of it.  It's a little too hard to try to do this on my phone.

Thanks :)

I deleted all of my images off of there.  One sale per month isn't worth it.  If I ever get the photography thing figured out I might upload there again.  I guess they just don't like vectors all that much.  I could also say that about fotolia and dreamstime but the sales are worth more than an 123rf.

As soon as I got my payout... I wrote support and asked to be deleted.  The images were gone in a couple days....   however,  they still turn up on the web when surfing and link back to 123rf....  why? 8)=tom

Same reason that my Fotolia photos still show in searches, including Image Exchange and SpiderPics. They are on the web in the search databases, but when you go to the site 123 or Fotolia for example, there is nothing. I removed mine over two months ago and they still pop up now and then. But they don't exist for sale or anyplace where someone can buy them. (well yes, on IS and SS, but nowhere that they have been removed) It's not the stock agency at fault, it's the structure of the Internet.

There is a problem with information on the internet that while it's constantly being added, it isn't removed as fast. I can point you to a restaurant that went out of business four years ago, that has a wrong listing, using the owners home address. Now go figure how bad that is! Double dip wrong and four years out of date as well.

Want really old? My fax number was listed for a group collecting data for an international organization. That was in the 80s in the days of Fidonet, pre-internet popularity, when BBSs were local dial-up. I still get faxes from people over 22 years later! :D

I hope that explains why your photos show up in searches even if they are no longer on a website or agency.
