Title: Understanding Uploading Process
Post by: superdone on September 17, 2015, 18:31
I have a problem.

On other agencies I usually upload bunch of mixed files (photos and vectors) via ftp. When I go on the site all files are ready for indexing.

In 123rf things looks strange or maybe I didn't understand something on uploading process.

After I uploaded  bunch of mixed files I go on 123rf site and click on FTP Upload and then I have to chose between vectors or photos.

If I opt for photos all the files (even vectors) are considered photos....and this is wrong.

Am I wrong on somenthing in uploading process?

Their upload process is so stupid. Once you uploaded via FTP, you still have to select in the website which files you upload. They don't have automatic processing like other websites. Whatever they have, often do not work properly as well.

Thanks for your answer but once I upload via FTP I go to the site and I dont have the possibility to select which file has to be processed. It processes all the files in the root directory of the server... :((

Yes, just upload what you want to submit.

Mmm... I haven't updated vectors to 123RF for a while, so I don't remember even how it works. Hopefully someone more familiar would give you some useful advice.

You should probably separate your vectors and rasters/photos anyway. You'll have to eventually do it at some other site too.
