Thats great news, you will find it was worth the effort. Alamy are one of the better earners for me.

Welcome aboard, but Alamy is a different animal, no point pressing F5 statistics are updated 5 times a week, with new images one image fails all images in all waiting batches fail, but they only look at quality not content for rejection, an image could sell today and you are paid 90 days later, or it could be refunded later, deleted images take months to come off the site.

So do not expect it to be like SS, any image that has been sold RF you should licence it the same on Alamy, and you should have different images for Alamy than you have on the Microsites, although this is not enforced like Photoshelter do.

An image cannot be Licenced RP or L on alamy and RF somewhere else.

I know you are passionate about your photography and images so these are just a few pointers to think about, its a slower lifestyle on Alamy.

Good Luck

Congrats melastmohican.

I've just been accepted too after three attempts with four images. I'm impressed, since I took a DSLR in my hands four months ago for the first time...

Thanks Adeptris for your tips. Appreciated. I can't hide I'm extremely happy :)

Congratulations on your acceptance!

I can't even get to the page that enables you to upload the images? ::)  Everytime I try, I get kicked back to the first page where you have to check al boxes.  If I check all and click on "Next" to get to the upload page, I get kicked back.  I tried using Firefox and Internet Explorer.  All setting for security are properly set so I guess it just isn't meant to be.  Their experts can't sem to figure it out.  So if any of your guys and gals have any suggestions, I would appreciate the help.  I'm on Windows XP and use Zone Alarm.

make sure your popup blocker is not on.
make sure your java script is installed for alamy's downloader.
it will say, alamy wants to install java? you say ok, and it installs it to explorer or firefox.
my firefox screws up too, on this. so i use explorer for alamy only.
and make sure your cookies are on too.
if all fails, disable zone alarm, just during this time, as you know that alamy is no problem.
good luck.

Congrats, melastmohican!

Have they introduced watermarks?  I am still waiting for this before I start uploading.

Adelaide

THANKS Dullegg!  I think it must be zone Alarm based on what you have provided.  I'll give it a try; my Router Firewall will be a little protection while I do that.  At least no one will be able to hack in.

UPDATE:
Disabling Zone Alarm didn't work, and there was no problem with a pop-up blocker.  I still can't get past the first page requiring us to click on the "Check All" box.  After all boxes show check marks, it just rolls me back to that page.  So far their technical experts haven't gotten back to me.  Guess it just isn'tmeant to be.
