Title: Alamy currencies
Post by: eyeCatchLight on January 05, 2010, 08:23
I just checked on some of my RF pictures on Alamy and got confused: For example maximum size costs 360 Euros, 365 USD, and 255 pounds. Where I have to remark that Euros and USD are absolutely not corresponding to the same amount of money! So how is it paid - should I switch my account to Euros to get more money?  ???

which price do you see for your RF pictures? (i mean you don't need to tell the amount, just if the currency conversion is correct?)

i'm only seeing sterling, but mine are rm (licenced) photos, with very different prices depending upon type of usage.

however, for other people's rf images, i'm only seeing set prices in sterling also. i'm based in the us. if you want to pm your url, i can tell you what i see for your images.

My RF images are in £ (sterling) ONLY !!  NO $ or Euro  options !?

Couldn't find any of yours !?  not sure who or what to look for :)

I opened one that is RF and it saus US$315 for the full size. I don't see a way to view prices in other currencies.  If you can see other currencies, search for this ID: B65W6M.

I suppose we are paid according to what the buyer pays, not what we see as a price.  So if there are currency unbalances, we will see this reflected in our sale as well.

oh yes, actually you only see that when you are not logged in...because then the system doesn't know the currency and you have to select one.
