Title: Alamy Live News and the Main collection
Post by: madelaide on January 01, 2013, 17:18
Today I uploaded some photos from the fireworks to Alamy Live News collection. If I understand it correctly, they don't appear on the main collection, so I have to upload them again, right?

Do images in the Live News disappear after some time?

No you do not have to upload them again. After they exit the news stream they will appear in your portfolio and in the regular search when it updates. They will be tagged as 'archival/reportage' (meaning that normal QC requirements did not apply). In your submission listing you will see it noted that they 'bypassed QC'.

Apart from that no different from any other submission. You will be able to manage the images just like any other submission if you want to add additional keywords or move the pictures to a different pseudonym.

Thank you! Do you know how long does it take to exit the news listing?

I received an email today from Alamy QC saying the images were approved and are now in the regular finishing area for keywording and such. That's cool.
