Alamy DLs are three times more this year than a couple of years ago, but the earnings are more than three times less. I have not been uploading to Alamy on a consistent basis and only slightly increased my port over the past two years.

It makes sense that Alamy has to stay competitive. I am glad it sells more. The problem is, three times more DLs does not compensate for more than three times loss of revenue. It simply does not sell enough images.

How do you feel?

I feel like it's all just one big race to the bottom.

I've only been uploading for a year and my RPD is 20$.  What was a typical RPD in years gone by as I have nothing to compare it against?

Still not much sales at all for me. So not racing anywhere, up or down.  :-[

Bad is all I can say.  I used to get $300-$400 sales, now 5-10 $27 dls a month, a few $1-$7 and an occasional (every 2-3 months) $100-$200 sale.  Alamy is fighting against micros.  I knew this would happen after the first commission cut. Pretty soon they will be just another low paying site.  My monthly sales have gone from about $750-$1000 to $150-$300.  I have been with them for seven years.

I really feel for you guys/girls in the veteran club!  :( At least I never tasted "the good old days", so I do not know what I am missing (as they say "ignorance can be a blessing").  :P

That's exactly what I am getting.  Mostly 27$ dls with  a few low ones and the occasional big one.  It seemed good to me as I wasn't expecting anything else being relatively new to the site.

The $27 ones are often to the Huffington post, apparently.
