The CEO seems an open and honest person. My ears pricked up when he talked about 'pressure on pricing' and then went on to suggest that photographers shouldn't have all their eggs in one basket. Combined, these comments suggest to me a real concern at Alamy that they will be unable to sustain the present high pricing, and photographers should diversify elsewhere before they get a nasty surprise.
It seems to me that microstock prices are rising and traditional pricing is falling; presumably one day they'll meet in the middle, certainly for RF. Alamy's biggest market is editorial, and I think we are already starting to see competition hot up in that area.
