About one month ago I hade a sale
18 May 2018 Royalty-free Usage: Editorial web and social media, single article $ 15.73
And today I got this
(21 August 2018) Royalty-free Sale Refunded $ -15.73
Royalty-free Usage: Editorial web and social media, single article $ 14.79
Does that means that first sale was refunded and then bought again for 14,79$. Because refunding sale to buy it 1$ cheaper doesn't make any sense. Also, this photo was already published on site, I found it month ago on some web page.

What maybe happened is that the buyer got a retrospective group discount.
I've had some refunds/rebuys at the same price (sometimes the dates of use have changed slightly) and some where the difference has only been a few cents in either direction, which is apparently 'currency difference between dates'. Don't know if that would account for nearly a dollar, though.

Thanks

I have had quite a few of these.
My guess is due to currency conversion readjustments.
What makes me unhappy is once there is a refund and repurchase with a few cents in difference, Alamy treats it as a new purchase. Even though the original amount was paid and cleared, we will still have to wait until the new purchase is "cleared" at least a couple of months later. Why can't Alamy just refund the difference and pay us on time?
