This just in...  the power of MSG?


Okay, hands up... we got it wrong and we’re sorry we messed everyone around.

We recently announced some changes to our payment terms. We lowered the payment threshold from $175 to $100, but introduced fees for some payment options. We completely underestimated the strength of feeling regarding the options that involved fees.

So, the good news is that you can forget everything we previously said. We’re now moving the threshold down to $75 and there will be no fees at the Alamy end regardless of which method or currency you choose.  We’ll change the contract again but we’ll be paying out on balances above $75, starting with the December payrun at the beginning of December.

This will mean more of you will get paid more regularly. We respect our photographers, you’re important to us and we want to be fair.

I got the email too.  Was a little shocked as I thought it was set in stone but very nice nonetheless.  I can deal with $75 it's the same threshold as I have on SS so not anything I'd find fault with.

Must say it's a very good move by Alamy.
