I am confused as to what money I am actually going to receive.

Balance brought forward:   $42.26
Total sales:   $70.82
Commission / charges:   $-35.41
Total payments to you:   $0.00
Balance carried forward:   $77.67
Cleared balance:   $42.26
Next payment date:   Not due

Date   Description   Alamy ref   Detail   Debit ($)   Credit ($)   Balance ($)   Paid *
    Balance brought forward                   42.26
21 April 2015   Sale   ****   Sale       70.82   113.08   x
21 April 2015   alamy Commission      50%   35.41       77.67   x

Do I have $77 in my account or $44 ? If $77 then why have I not reached the payment threshold ?

Very confusing.

You have $77.67 total balance but only $42.26 of that is cleared balance currently.

You will reach payout when your cleared balance is >$75.

Ok, thanks Bunhill. Just wondered why it hadn't cleared.

It becomes cleared, when customer pays Alamy. Sometimes it takes few weeks, sometimes few months, so be patient :)

It's a good idea to use their new CSV financial file filter system. It will show you what your cut is for each sale and easily summarized in Excel.  They have among the most user -un-friendly system in the business.

Alamy's revenue presentation is as pathetic as their sales. And they're the only company i know who has to present everything in gross figures just to make the numbers look better. I never understand why alamy forum photographers report about their earnings in gross figures. It's very misleading since they only make around 45% of that when distributor sales are factored in.

AIUI, macro sites and togs always reported gross figures.
Also AIUI, Alamy sarted out with macro prices.
