Title: customer search activity ..
Post by: BigLeague on February 06, 2017, 12:58
Hi

Has anyone looked at the customer search activity on Alamy?
Try not using a search term, just all sales for last month, sort by sales.

It looks like the most selling image search term last month sold 11 times, and thats for all contributors

is that really right

No it is not right. It are not all customers of Alamy. In the search statistic are only a handful customers of Alamy included. It is not all Alamy. So no worries. Alamy pays to contributors yearly around 12 millions.

The All of Alamy search tool only shows sales where a customer both searched for and purchased a licence in the same session. It can't link particular searches to sales which take place some time later, so these don't show up in All of Alamy.  I don't know what proportion of sales take place immediately after the customer has searched, but I would guess it is not a high proportion.
