So a friend of mine stumbled across my photos in an article in a nationwide newspaper website. There were two my photos with source credited to "Profimedia" - a Czech company that also has local Balkans portals.
And there is my portfolio, credited to my name and Alamy as their supplier.
Thing is, I have a tiny port on Alamy and zero sales.
Would anyone know if this Profimedia is legit and why ain't those sales showing up on Alamy?

Also, prices are really meaty, 360 euros for full resolution for instance.

I googled Profimedia Alamy and found:
http://www.alamy.com/contactus/local-distributors.asp
You will get 30% of the sale, and remember, the 'rate card' may bear no relationship to the actual price earned. Or it may be the same.

I'm familiar with this agency in my neighborhood , don't be worried.
It will show, it needs time, sometimes even few months.

Yes, regular sales can take up to three months to show up on Alamy, distributor sales can take up to six months, as they have to be reported to the distributor, then the distributor has to report them to Alamy, and they will likely be on a timescale.

Keep a note of the date it was published, or take a screenshot just in case it happens not to be reported in the six month window.

Hello  qunamax,
Did you get paid for those photos that Profimedia took from Alamy ?
Asking because I have the same issue. I came across my photo on one site in January, signed by Profimedia, and it still did not show on Alamy.

Hi, in the meantime sales have taken off for me on Alamy so it's a bit hard to tell. I can confirm that one Profimedia sale was reported (I can see the country details) for 3$, about a month ago.
I have the other photo reported too but I doubt it's from the same buyer since it was sold for 36$ and no country reported - worldwide designation (and the magazine I saw them in is not worldwide - Serbian language only).
