It took me 5 tries but i've been accepted. Won,t be ale to uploade anything till next week (several doctors appointment and other urgent matters.
Anything specific that i need to know? Like what type of pics would be best for my 1st submission. Any help at all will be appreciated.

Upload anything you want. I find it impossible to get a rejection.

hey Dan, well done on getting accepted at Alamy.
Tip No.1
When you upload a batch at Alamy try and make sure the images are all fit to pass Quality Control. This is important because if one image fails then Alamy fails the entire batch and you have to wait 28 days minimum before you can submit again.
I'm sure other MSG members will have other tips for you too.
In the meantime, good luck with your Alamy journey....

I may be wrong but as far as I know their review process is automatic, done by software, not by humans.. so as long as you meet the technical requirements, you are bound to get accepted..

No, it's done by humans, but I think after you've been submitting for a while a sample only of your images is manually checked.

Bravo ! And good luck in future.
No problem for pics, I wish You all the best at doctors.
:)
Enjoy.

Thanks everybody for the help. Have a few ready to upload on Monday. May be able to get a few more while i'm busy this weekend.
I have a few of a house being demolished that i want to upload as editorial (1 of my 4 test images was from this set. Also part of my test set was one of mailboxes. I have a few new ones here including one decorated for christmas.
Also some of horses on a farm.
Am i on the right track here and would these be okay?
Also hoping to get one of haybales around a pond.
Some more from the golf course (carts / with and without people.)
May be able to come up with a few more. Time is very resticted so some may have to wait untill next week.

Dan, get your around the Alamy rules of RF and RM because its a pain in the hole to figure that out and to follow Alamy rules.
Also prepare yourself from loads of abuse on the forum from the trad togs who despise anything micro
-
Some of the more obvious RF/RM rules:
If you have a file anywhere else as RF, you can't have it RM on Alamy.
However:
If you need a PR or MR (and haven't got one), it can't go RF on Alamy, so if you have an editorial file elsewhere as RF it can't go on Alamy.
i,e, there is no current RF editorial at Alamy (though there is current debate about a micro agency being so mirrored - forget it, that doesn't apply to personal uploads.)
Anything that needs a PR or MR must be RM at Alamy.
Anything which is a hint of a person must be declared as a person and you need an MR. Even just pixels in the background. But IIRC not a photo of a person (which might require a PR, but say you had taken a photo of someone and used that in another image, e.g. a framed photo on a wall, that wouldn't require an MR).
Unless things have changed, your submission photos will go straight into the collection, so if you haven't already done so, you can look forward to sampling the delights of the 'Manage Your Images' procedure. Bear in mind that Alamy's weird search engine can pick out words from any of: Caption, keywords, location, your name. So for example, if you used 'Dan' as part of your name, and had a photo of a house keyworded 'house', your image would get searched on for a hypothetical person called 'Dan House'. I had a location in a Mulberry Street searched on for Mulberry. Famously, I had the Head Office of a political party searched on for Office Party.
You have to be careful about writing your captions, as a random word from your caption can be taken out of context and searched on. I must find time to review my earlier captions with that in mind, as I didn't think of that at the time.
I'm certain this must annoy the h*ck out of searchers, but it's worse: if you get searched but not zoomed, it can affect your Alamy Rank, which is their default search.

If you upload stuff which is unlikely to sell you reduce your chances of selling your good stuff. Alamy is worth sending your best stuff too. Good useful compositions, strong themes and the best of the shots. Nobody wants to waste their time browsing through poorly edited content.

I disagree. Alamy sometimes sell images the other sites would often reject. As you can put all your best images in a separate collection under a pseudonym, there's no reason for the lower quality images to hurt search placement of your best stuff. And who knows what a buyer wants? I'd rather let them decide than try and guess.

At one time a had a few Pseudos but I just cut it back to 2. 1 for RM and 1 for RF. I have an idea which might bring me up to 3 but waiting to see if I really want to do that.
Tip... Shoot, Shoot, Shoot... if your doing RM. Go somewhere... take a camera and shoot. Even if it is to a Store or going to get gas (Petrol).

The first few batches play it safe and submit only pics that will fly- don't gamble until you establish a good record than take chances later on...
-
tab62 sounds like good advice - thanks.
Thnks to everybody else also. Looks like i got my work cut out for me.
-
Taking tab62 advice i have 2 (out of a dozen that i think could be summited.) Nothing wrong with the other 10 but 2 that really stands out.
-
I took tab62 advice and played it safe with my first submission after approval. 1 pic uploaded and 1 approved. Next sumission will be more than one but still small enough to play safe.
