Title: Keywording on Alamy
Post by: roman on December 08, 2006, 10:55
I really have a hard time finding my images on alamy.  Sometimes, I have to enter 15 keywords from my list just to get to my images.  funny enough, it is organized not in order of relevance.  For examlpe, if you type in zebra, africa, safari... alamy will give you ten images of a zebra path before getting to the animals.  Any hints for keywording on alamy.  Thanks.

I think the key to Alamy is having a descriptive title and hoping for popular subjects designers will do an "exact phrase" search.

They seem to have a habit of putting new photos last and the spamdexing there seems epidemic at times

Thanks for the advise.  You are right though... Spamming is a big issue on alamy.  I personally think that they are growing too fast.. they will reach 10 million mark in a few months.  On the other hand, a few people on this forum had sales there.  So thats encouraging.  Cheers.
