Hey guys!
I found one of my photos from Alamy in use on this website, but I haven't this image registered in my sales!!! Why?
Is it the administration's delay of Alamy, (page is from 19th of January) or...!?
What is your experiences?

The big buyers are on self-reporting accounts, and three calendar months is not considered unreasonable in this market. Take a screenshot and mark your diary for 1st May.
I have a screenshot of a usage from 12th October, and have 1st Feb marked as 'chase up if not reported by then'.
As they have credited you/Alamy, its almost certain they are on this arrangement.

Funny how Brits. (or Scotts?) took the TV show puppets and made it into a derogatory term.
And then took a part of an engine and made it into some description of a person.

It's got quite a few literal meaning, particularly a sort of bead which pops into the next one in a bracelet or necklace, but this context is borrowed from 'poppet' (slang) meaning a particularly cute toddler. In an affectionate way.

The word poppet is an older spelling of puppet, from the Middle English popet, meaning a small child or doll. In British Dialect it continues to hold this meaning. Poppet is also a chiefly English term of endearment. ;)

Way back when we were marching against the impending war on Iraq, many of the banners had photos advising Tony Blair "Don't be a Puppet for a Muppet", which I found very amusing.

I love your terms of endearment, Sue... 'Poppet' and 'Pumpkin'. Just lovely - haven't heard them in a long time - but will do all I can to them back into regular usage in my part of the world!

It's in the Oxford English Dictionary, so that should be more than good enough for everyone :P

I haven't had problems in reporting, that I know if, or in people paying after reported. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
On the forums there seem to be people who find images used and have to ask after the 3 months are up and then Alamy has to go after them. The whole self reporting thing always amused me. What if I don't find my image in use and they don't report it. Free Photos? :(
A year? Maybe Alamy finds photos downloaded and not paid for and goes after people, on our behalf. There must be some way of tracking downloads or the system is seriously flawed.
This is an I don't know answer, but there's what I do know.

Again, you'd have to contact their member services for a full information. When I asked about my October sale that's all they told me: the Daily Telegraph is self-reporting, and it usually takes 2-3 months, but contact them at the end of that time it if didn't show. Which is why I have 1st Feb engraved in my brain.

I agree, but then so is professional golf where the players call their own violations while playing for hundreds of thousands of dollars? ;)
Makes me wonder how many places self report and fly under the radar at the same time. There are many eyes watching, which means if they get caught it could mean closed account or fines? There needs to be something like the "photo police" watching to make sure we are protected from freeloaders.
