99% one of your files has a partial failure - you will still be able to upload the ones that didn't have the upload failure thus not hurting your QC rating...
-
The time taken can vary quite a lot.
But you can upload more while waiting for a batch to go in.
(any/all batches will be all in or all out, like one batch)
-
had a good acceptance rate until this. did have 3 that were rejecteted but it never took this long.
-
If you fail a QC you wont be told for 30 days. So unless your batch says processing, and you waited 9 days, you probably failed QC and you will be informed about it on 29 May.
-
Sometimes QC can take more than a week. I had a batch pass after almost two weeks. The period in question in this case also includes a holiday weekend.
If it says "awaiting QC" then assume that it is still awaiting QC. It isn't a fail unless or until it fails. In which case no big deal. If it does fail you may find out sooner than 30 days. These things do not seem to be set in stone.
Good luck.

I've also sometimes had them take a couple of weeks to go through QC. I submitted a batch on Monday and am still waiting so maybe they are just a little slower than usual. Process some more while you're waiting - that's what I'm doing.
-
I submitted last Friday and got passed today. That means my review was quicker then his, and I dont think batches overtake each other in the queue, unless you have an image with a processing error.
The amount of time you spend awaiting QC is dependent on your QC history. The majority of contributors see their work available in their ‘My Alamy’ pages ready for annotation and key-wording within an average of 24 hours from the date of upload. This allows their images to reach a wide audience quickly and effectively. Failing QC means that your work is even more closely scrutinised than a contributor who passes QC. At present if you fail QC your submissions will be stored in our batch fail queue, where you will have to wait up to 28 working days to receive a notice of the submission failure and details of the corresponding failure reason.

Sometimes they do. More than once I've had QC over 2 weeks, when others have reported fast turnarounds and I've assumed a fault on my part (it happens :-[), then they went through OK. I don't know their system, whether they send batches to inspectors or what.
If it's a processing error, it used to be that it was manually checked after a week, but I haven't had one for a year or two, so that timescale might have changed.
Or of course, there may be bad news in the pipeline.

Dan, you are offering your images as RM and RF, thats not allowed. You can only sell an image as RF or RM.

Absolutely true.

My experience has been that if a batch has been in QC more than a couple of days, it failed, and any batches uploaded after that one will automatically fail. I'm waiting the usual 30 days to receive the failure notice so I can upload others.

I'm waiting since Sunday, so maybe I'm on the naughty chair too, though I've definitely in the past had uploads from Sunday accepted Thursday or Friday.
BTW, if a file in a batch has some uploading problem, the status is 'processing' not 'awaiting QC'.

Yep almost certainly failed when this happened to me they made me wait a month for the outcome DONT put any more in the queue they will be failed too.

just one failed for poor exposure. >:(

If one fails then all fail, unless it is a technical error like an upload failure.
-
Over the past year my submissions to Alamy have taken 1-6 days to go through QC. I didn't know the 30-day wait for failures, but just checked and the one time I had a rejection it was 30 days after the initial submission. Unfortunately I submitted a couple more batches while waiting and of course they were failed too. So I think if it goes more than a week then you'd better wait.

Dan, did you read my comment above? You need to sort that out. Either write Alamy support to change your licences to RF, but you cant because your images show property that needs a release. Or you delete the images from the micro agencies. But since you dont have property releases (I assume) you need to delete them from Alamy. You really need to read up on the licencing rules and get an understanding of what you can and cannot do with your images. You are setting yourself up for trouble if you dont correct it. Its good advice I think you should take.

you can do it image by image but it takes 3 months to change. if one sell in that time frame it is deleted and has to be resubmitted. mine are going through that process.
at least that what i was told.
-
Update: my pics uploaded Sunday were passed today, so maybe QC is a bit slower.

If they are RM at Alamy and RF elsewhere then you need to suspend selling them at places where you also have them RF until the issue is resolved.
Unless you can contact Alamy, explain your mistake, and get them to manually change them to RF. They are responsive and friendly people.
Obviously if they are pictures which can only be sold RM at Alamy then you need to decide where you want to sell them.

Been pretty good lately, two days max for my last five submissions.

Pretty much this. What sucks about this is Alamy's assumption is that if one of your images fails, then all of them will fail since everyone always uploads images from a single shoot at the same time. They have ignored the obvious flaws in this logic for years. I would wait - further uploading is probably a waste of your time.

I have few batches approved after one week
