All of my work in the past two months, all of it, every single photo on every single batch got rejected.

Ss approved, ft,dt...good for them.

1800 live photos on alamy, random sales.

The last rejection was a batch of 6 files and the rejection was for "number of images".

I used to get them ALL approved.

What's going on?

Hello,

I submit to Micro and Alamy.

First of all Alamy tolerance about sharpness is lower then micro. If your photo is slightly out of focus Alamy will reject your batch while Micro still accepts them.

The last rejection is strange. This happens usually when you submit your first test batch. You need to send for the first 4 images. If you send more it will be rejected. Once you pass you are free to submit as much you like.

What are you talking about?

I never had a rejection on Alamy, for the past 2 years, be it for sharpness or anything else.

You probably never tried to submit to Shutterstock to experience how strict their review system is, compared with Alamy's.
Even Fotolia rejects, now and then, photos Alamy has no problem with.

Hello  :D,

Yes i submit to SS and have there 10.000 photos. I know what you are talking about. But i find Shutterstock a little unreasonable the last periods. Things are rejected yesterday and approved tomorrow. Thats why i dont take them as example. But Fotolia in general approves al lot in my case. Fotolia rejects also for topic. Alamy only for technical reasons. I never have rejectons on Alamy and have there around 17000 photos.

Alamy also checks in a different way. You send for example 100 photos and they will take only a few out for sample. If they are ok the rest will pass also. If one of the samples are not ok Alamy will reject the whole batch. Perhaps the rejected photo (technical reason) of fotolia was not in the sample of the batch.

I tell you i find your last rejection very strange. I would contact the member service about it. They answer very fast.

I think perhaps you do not understand how Alamy works.  First they do not inspect all images, only a random sample.  If any image that is tested fails, then all images fail.  Second the "all images" applies to all open batches at the same time.

So if you have 5 batches uploaded of say 20 images each and they test one image in the first batch and it fails then all 100 images in 5 different batches fail.

Also be aware that failing QC will lengthen the time you must wait in the queue for your next review, sometimes as long as 30 days.

It is generally safer to upload a batch and then wait until it has passed QC before uploading another, otherwise you risk have your second (third, fourth etc) batch failed as well.
