Hi
Would anyone be able to provide a file which represents what would be required for Alamy. I'm just starting this journey and have to see if my photos are good enough . I suppose something other than email because of the file size.

Just go to the alamy site and take a look around.  Anything on the site is stuff they are looking for.

I need the file to compare focus and sharpness. I don;t have  enough experience to know what to expect.

Well the 'focused' part of the image should be in focus.

As for softness, when you upsize the image it will be soft due to the creation of extra pixels.

You could post a 100% comp of the image to view here if you want.
