If I choose RM exclusive on Alamy,
does this mean that I cannot make art prints for individuals?
Does it mean that I cannot sell it to 1 magazine from my own contact and not through stock?
Does it mean I cannot put it in gallery art shows or enter it into photo contests?
I have a couple of images that are unique. So far there are no images of this on internet and none at microstock agencies. I do not want to sell it though microstock.
Should I just do RM non-exclusive? I do not want to lock myself out of his one magazine using it. Subject is close to my heart as is organization's magazine. Niche but they have used some of my others for educational purposes.
I asked Alamy the difference but the answer I got did not really clarify.

Can you even choose RM-exclusive as such nowadays?
You can tick 'only on Alamy', if you choose; but I think RM-exclusive as an option has gone.
As far as I'm aware, the only advantage of the old RM-exclusive was that in the unusual case that a buyer wanted to buy rights, Alamy wouldn't have to contact you to check whether it had been licenced already - that would rule out your magazine use.
I can't remember for sure whether buyers could ever see that an image was RM-exclusive, but I don't think so. Also as far as I can see, buyers don't have access to the information that a file is 'available only on Alamy' for the present; whether that will change in the future, I have no idea.

hmmmm..... I like the idea of them chasing down infringement with the only Alamy if they indeed do. I may try to write them again.
Who knows it it might ever sell on Alamy. The magazine has used some. I am tired of local non-stock folks trying to copy some of my photos so infringement chasing would be a plus.
Several times I have had images on SS that were only image of something only to find out that one they start getting sales, suddenly there are pages of it.

hmmmm..... I like the idea of them chasing down infringement with the only Alamy if they indeed do. I may try to write them again.
Seriously manage your expectations with regards them chasing down infringements. Search on their forums or I'll PM you if you like.
