Hi Guys!

I don't think that you guys are wrong or anything, but where do you find the rule that you cant sell the same images with different kind of licensing on different sites?

Example:
SS: Image1 as RF and Alamy: Image1 as RM?

I read a lot on Alamys homepage and these two things is all I could find:

1.Tips and legal considerations
To ensure customer confidence in your images and avoid potential legal problems:
■you cannot change the licence type for an image once it is set.
■you must not submit the same or similar images as different licence types.

2.What if I already work with an agency?

Alamys agreement is non-exclusive but obviously you need to check your current agency agreement. If you need to block certain usages for the purposes of rights management we allow you to specify those usages as a restriction. This enables you to maintain the integrity of your image rights whilst exploring new sales opportunities with images that have a good selling history with other agencies. Obviously we are delighted to accept new work so that no restrictions are necessary.

I interprete this as that you cant have similar Images as RF and RM at Alamy, but that it would be ok across different sites. Prove me wrong please! :)

Thanks a lot!

Tips and legal considerations

To ensure customer confidence in your images and avoid potential legal problems:

you cannot change the licence type for an image once it is set.
you must not submit the same or similar images as different licence types.
we may determine the licence type automatically from your answers to some of the annotation questions.
to avoid legal issues you must never set a licence as RF (but only as RM with restrictions set for Editorial use only), if it:
contains people or domestic buildings without releases.
solely features a logo, trademark or copyrighted building - this is a copyright or trademark infringement.
Subjects which should never be Royalty Free
we may tell you if we feel the licence type you have assigned is inappropriate.
you can apply a default licence type to your images.

Poncke>> Thats exactly the place where I quoted from in my post. But again, as I interprete it, it only restricts submitting the same or similar images with different licences at Alamy. Or did I just misunderstand it completeley?!

It doesnt say "at alamy", it only talks about an image. You cannot sell an image under different licences.
