Title: Submission time
Post by: alno on October 19, 2016, 17:17
I'm new to Alamy with my small photo port. What time does it usually take to be able to submit your own content after upload on the site?

I don't think I understand your question. Do you mean how long does it take for files to be accepted after you upload them?

I uploaded them with Stocksubmitter software couple days ago and can't submit them till now. I've heard the files on Alamy are not ready for submission at the same moment they were uploaded, right?

I still don't understand the question. When you upload images to Alamy, you're submitting them for quality control. The time QC takes can vary from overnight to over a week; more if you have a poor QC record. At the beginning, they seem to check each individual image; after a while, they trust you more, and as I understand it (I don't think from an official source, though), they sample your images. If you fail QC, you can be on the naughty chair for a month before your failure notice comes in (one fail, all fail: don't bother uploading any more meanwhile.)

I don't use stocksubmitter, though, I upload directly; maybe that's different (?).

Thank you! I think that one week QC is my case :) I've uploaded files for the first time.
