Title: upsizing still ok?
Post by: stockastic on April 24, 2011, 10:54
Now that Alamy no longer requires monster files, I've started submitting. But a few of my images are still rejected for being below their size limit.  They're maybe 20 MB uncompressed, and they're good images that wouldn't suffer from being upsized.  It's still ok to upsize for Alamy, right?  Actually I don't think there's no any way a reviewer would ever detect it.

Yes, they say it here: http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/digital-camera-images.asp (http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/digital-camera-images.asp)

"If necessary, interpolate (upsize) the file to 24MB using a specialist, professional software package. If you have a camera that is capable of producing an uncompressed 8 bit file size of over 24MB then leave it that size"
