Hi all,

Am I  missing something...
Just checked my albumo account and saw that almost 100 images still pending. I thiink by now a couple of months.
Did I miss some announcement that Albumo stopped reviewing/selling/uploading ??

Newest "new image" was reviewed on July 16th if I'm reading the site right.

I still see in my account :Uploaded Photos: 569 and Images On Sale: 471 and this date was the last that got approved 2009-05-02 15:16:54

Look at the newest photos, and you will see this... Date of Upload: August 8, 2009 11:55:23 Yes, no new photos approved since the 8th of this month. Edit: no new photos in 31 days and counting.

Now look at the comments for the latest photo.  ;D

Albumo! Give my money!

Albumo, remove my images and close my account immediately.

Edit: Two weeks and Albumo hasn't removed the negative comments.

This is funny! On their site.

A look at most downloaded images has a number with comments like the above and account names changed to remove my account, titles of photos changed to strange things.

Somehow I think the people who manage the site have left the building.  :)

Have you looked at "remove"s image titles and keywords too?  That site looks terrible.

Yet another reason to do some homework before you upload to a site.  There are several threads here in this forum dealing with Albumo.  Just reading one or two would be enough to steer any contributor from signing up.
400 Day lock-in on images, lack of any response from Albumo representatives *whoever they are*, their *main* HQ located in a residential apartment complex, the inability to delete more than one photo per day, ... the list is endless :)
Good luck, I hope you find a speedy solution.

Some of us joined well before there were any threads here about them. When they first opened they paid a nice signing bonus for uploading 1,000 or more images. The problem is they never paid anything after the bonus.

Watching the "remove my photos" and other names, including many on the best seller page. Albumo doesn't look at their own site?

Very funny!

Are there people out there who have successfully closed their account at Albumo recently? I've tried several things (mailing to the various e-mail addresses, links to other stocksites in the descriptions), but nothing seems to help. All ideas are welcome.

Someone mentioned you could open as many tabs as you can in Windows to delete more than one photo a day.  I don't know for a fact that this works because I had already gone through the 1-a-day exercise.

yup, I can't get on there either.  I'm glad - I had another 807 days before all my pictures were gone.

I've emailed their support and the address bounced back.

Now I am sure I lost my US$36.

Domain servers in listed order:
      NS1.SOFTLAYER.COM
      NS2.SOFTLAYER.COM

If the images are backed up on the servers.
