I'm happy to report that after trying to sign in to Albumo to delete yet another of my 475+ images, my account is closed.
I also noticed a tiny upswing in my dreamstime portfolio :)
Coincidence? Possibly...
But, admin apparently doesn't like it when ya change your keywords and description to boost sales at another site :D
This is the way to do it, my friends.
Good Luck!!

I change all my keywords and descriptions in March after they rudely refused to remove my images - and posted in their community area suggesting buyers go elsewhere. Since then have been sending the odd message and deleting images when I remember.  Last week I decided to send a few messages (left the window open and did it everytime I thought of it).  At long last both my portfolio and the message I left on the community board suggesting buyers licence their images elsewhere have been removed.

Perhaps they got fed up with submitters wanting to leave and deleted us all at the same time?

After writing them  asking for my images to be removed (with no answer), I tried to delete my images 1 per day, 2 per day, 3 per day...
Today I tried logging in to Albumo to delete my  photos and my account is gone!
Finaly they cancelled it. I red somewhere about blocking images for 400 days with them. Maybe my 400 days period was over. :D

My account and images are gone too - finally! Not sure whether it was changing a few titles to "Buy at dreasmtime.com" or just they were fed up with the e-mails I kept sending them.

Hmm... My site-mail asking to remove my portfolio resulted in a 'BL' sale.... (0 before)
May be it makes sense to request removal every day - the sales will start coming?

 ;D

After weeks and weeks of telling them to delete my account ...today they actually did!
I`m quite surprise that they did.

Wow..all it took was close to a hundred e-mails and finally something has been done about it!
Talk about about poor service.

I`m actually very surprise that they are still running..

I've given up on the deleting one image a day method.  I think my 400 days is up in October or November anyway.  At that time I will ask for my images to be removed.

I can't believe they're still up and running too.  I would have expected them to die off long before Photoshelter.

I've been sending e-mails for a month now, and :::shock::: my portfolio is still up.  I even posted on my blog about their poor service.  Someone replied and asked if I worked for DT and wondered why I thought Albumo wasn't a reputable site.  Uh...did you not read my first post, Buddy?

Time for more drastic measures.

Photoshelter appeared to have been spending a ton of money on marketing. Albumo appears to be spending zero so they may be able to survive on the maintainance costs of keeping a server running at a hosting company. Or for all we know they could have a server in an apartment closet.

You're probably right.  After all, Albumo's headquarters is located in an apartment near my house!  I should really go pay them a visit someday.

Yep, you're right Karimala. 4941 Stamas Ln, Fair Oaks, CA 95628 on Mappoint's Birdseye view shows an apartment building.

Maybe it's a hosting company or corporate building cleverly disguised as an apartment building.  ;)
