I know most of the agencies have seen declining activity over the summer, but this slide into oblivion at bigstock is something else.......

Agencies that have been proactive and are investing in advertising and development tell a different story.....

Hatman,
Can't tell what you're talking about----can't see any images....
Sounds interesting, though.

Huh?
I was pleasantly surprised today to see 5 images licensed today, 1 yesterday, and 1 the day before on a small portfolio of 253 images. I guess they stopped buying from your portfolio and started buying from mine?
Bigstock has always been a decent site for me (comparatively speaking of course). They ALWAYS beat Fotolia month after month for me.

Wow. Quite a decline! Perhaps that helps to explain why they are now my lowest earner (tied with LO for last place). I've already decided to stop uploading at BS; too much of a time-waster, especially with other sites beginning to give me a dramatic increase in earnings. I knew something had to change when 123 left BS in the dust for me this past month.

My sales have declined a bit but they are still steady and way ahead of sites like LO and FP.
Had more downloads this week, so perhaps the summer lull is over.

Me too. BS rose to #2 in August. Back to normal so far in Sept. But I'm getting a lot more $1 than .50 sales.

BigStock is stable as my 5th best seller. It was better in the first 2 days of this month, but now trends are back to normal, and so far it accounts for 8% of my earnings this month. Next payout is just around the corner.
Regards,
Adelaide

BigStock usually my 3rd or 4th seller (swapping out with DT). Only outdone by IS and SS. For 2007, lightyears ahead of LO, FT, FP and others.
I like BigStock and continue to upload there.

BS never liked penguins, they let me upload them, but somehow they never sold many. So my average earnings/image is at 3 cents/image per month, which is horrible. I almost earn more on my referrals on DT which are not many and not proffessionals.

BigStock has been terrible this year, but August was a good month - up 50% on July's $$.
FT generally outperforms BigStock by a lot (except for the dip when V2 was introduced).
At least with an uptick in August BigStock avoids joining CanStock in the "too small to notice" earnings category...
