Title: Bigstock editorial caption rules
Post by: robhainer on June 05, 2014, 00:15
Why does Bigstock have different rules for editorial cations than Shutterstock now? Shutterstock recently made captioning easier, but Bigstock didn't follow so now I get rejections on editorial captions because I write them for Shutterstock first, and they are acceptable to every other site as well, except Bigstock. I'm not going to write special captions just for Bigstock. I end up just deleting the image after it's rejected because of the caption.

What about people that are still on the Bridge? Do they get speshul treatment once more?

I do the same as you — submit first to SS, then BS. They have never rejected my photos based upon captioning, including the newer abbreviated form. Must be something else going on.

I've had it happen numerous times now that I started doing the shorter-style captions that are now accepted on Shutterstock. Maybe I'm getting a reviewer who's not up to date.

I just had a batch accepted yesterday with the same captions as for SS so it must be reviewer specific.  I certainly wouldn't bother writing captions specific for BS.  If they got in at SS then just resubmit.
