Hi,
I just started with Bigstock (found time to add another agency) and have two questions I could not easily find an answer to:
1: Is there any way to see the number of views (other than clicking on the image)?
2: If an image is rejected, do they have a process to re-submit (after correcting what was wrong obviously)? Comparable to DT and IS? Or do you just correct and re-submit (is there a way to leave a note to the reviewer)?

1. Click on the "Commissions" tab, then "Download/view stats".
2. I'm not aware of any resubmission process. I don't think I've ever tried correcting and resubmitting. I usually upload to BigStock and others after IS acceptance, and I figure if IS accepts an image, it's ok. :D I still get rejections from others, but I just assume they aren't interested in those particular images.

Dirk, just remember, the site will be slow in sales for you for a few months, until you build up your portfolio there.
KB, you are losing a lot of potential income if you "can" an image after iStock rejects it. Try submitting your iStock rejects to other agencies, you'll see your ports grow real quick, and possibly the income as well.
Gebbie (Our best selling image at iStock doesn't sell very well on other agencies, but our top five selling pictures didn't make it on iStock)

Gebbie, sorry I wasn't clear.
I meant I don't think I've ever tried to correct and re-submit an image other than at iStock.
The process I follow most of the time (not always) is to UL to IS first. My AR is about 75% - 80% there. If it's rejected with a resubmit and I believe I can fix it, I absolutely do. That covers over 90% of my images. Then I submit to other agencies. The few images that I can't get iStock to accept definitely are still submitted to other agencies, and are generally accepted (though usually not by all of them).
So my point was that if an image is "ok'd" by IS and rejected elsewhere for technical reasons, I figure it's just an inexperienced reviewer or a site-specific oddity. Perhaps I might be able to make changes to please them, but it just doesn't seem worth it. (And it doesn't happen often enough to worry about on 123, BigStock, SS, or StockXpert -- and don't get me started on DT and FT!)

I don't expect too much from Bigstock, I'm at the top five already and just thought I spread out a bit more. Ready to upload about 800 pics, so my portfolio should grow fast :)

Doesn't this process only work for those images you actually have Downloads for? I haven't been able to get just "view stats" on all my images in this fashion. Am I doing something incorrectly? ???

Huh. Yep, I didn't realize that, but you're right. I never actually look at views, just sales. Good thing, apparently, otherwise I'd be frustrated by the apparent lack of ability to do so. :)

It looks like your questions have been answered in the above posts. I would add that you should expect BigStock to be a slow and steady performer. I wouldn't expect much more than 40-60% of the sales you make at Dreamstime. But every bit counts, and they certainly perform much better than all of the new microstock sites combined.

That's what I figured after reading this forum for a while, so I decided to give them a try. As it isn't too much effort just to upload the files per FTP (they are fully keyworded sitting on my harddrive) the extra money, even if not much, might be worth it.

Being someone who has only sold one file on BS, I've been extremeley frustrated with not being able to see, in an easily accessable place, my photo views! Yes, I realize views don't = $$$ but still one is able to ascertain some useful information about keywording, type of shots which are popular, the way the search engine handles new images etc.
I know I'm much more motivated when I can see if my images are being looked at or not. Anyone else have the same feelings? ???
