Title: BigStock and US Tax
Post by: madelaide on December 18, 2009, 15:13
Did you see the message when you log in, and has to inform whether you are a US-resident or not, and if yes you have to give them a number?

Why is it so different from other sites, not asking if your country has a tax agreement or not.

Not that is valid for me, Brazil doesn't, but it's curious.

In the U.S. you are required to report earnings from any source so that you can be taxed on that income. I guess they are just being sure to cover themselves legally.

They have already had mine for several years, and SS has it to.  Not sure why I had to give it to them again, but I went ahead and did it anyway...
