Announced today:
Today we raised image pricing for downloaders buying the largest images we have. We now offer smaller sized images for 1 credit, whereas the largest image we have to give you is 2 credits.
We have always tried to keep things a little simpler than some of the other microsites, (you may have your opinions about that) but customers like that our image pricing is easier to understand here, as well as some other aspects of how we run the site... and they tell us that.
This means photographers will be making $1.00 commission (a 100% increase) on the large image downloads and .50 on the smaller ones.
We also lowered our bulk pricing from $1.40 per credit to just $1.00 per credit, a 29% savings for buyers.
Being able to afford higher commissions to our photographers helps us continue to provide the highest quality of photo to the user community. With the bulk pricing, we are offering an even better value than previously if you are buying the 1200 px. "smaller" sized image. If you are buying the larger images we are still less expensive than most other stock sites.
So all in all we hope this new pricing works well for everyone.
Thanks again for your business and your support.

This is great ! 50% increase wow!! i wondered why my sales jumped up

I noticed my sales had jumped too. Just thought I'd suddenly been 'discovered' ;)
Ah well .... but it's nice to have a commission raise. I think I'll upload a whole lot more to them now.

Have they started accepting files larger than 6 megabytes yet? My D2x struggles to make files that small. I've not been submitting much to them for that reason alone.

Glad I had a chance to read this thread. I was also wondering why I had a commission of $1.00 today on one photo. The raise is well appreciated!
