Title: Difference between credentials for BS and SS
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on December 31, 2013, 02:26
I submitted a bunch of editorial photos of a street parade recently. BS are asking for credentials for the shoot. The photos were accepted at SS (and DT) without a problem.

Both sites, BS and SS, seem to have the exact same criteria for when credentials are needed. Are BS generally fussier about this?

I'm just wondering if it's worth it to query it with them or just leave BS out of my editorial uploads.

Happy New Year to you all.

I think BS needs to educate its reviewers on their own (and industry) standards for what's "editorial" and what needs credentials. They usually place some photos of mine in the "needs to be editorial" section that absolutely don't (like far-away aerial cityscapes without any visible signs etc.) and that everybody else (including SS) accept for commercial RF. Annoying, but then again -- who cares, BS doesn't sell much and that which it does sells for 25c subs.
