Interesting to see how people are doing for downloads, right now, without any subs. We can run a survey at the end of 2013 and see how many downloads the average person improved in that year. Good way to see if the plan is working.

Really surprised at this. How come so few for you?  Don't you have many images there?

I had about 740 dls there in 2012. No way that even with subs I will hit 50k.  Maybe I will hit 745 with subs this year as they simply replace my credit sales.

I wouldn't reach 50k a year even if they added together the SS and BS sales.

97 over 5 months. To be fair, that's starting from nil online at the beginning to about 1100 now.
I've just checked, and we actually made slightly more on our own website last year than we did at BS, and this year our own website is way ahead.
It looks as though we will also beat DT this month :)

I have a feeling that's a common opinion. I don't think this subs thing is going to improve that opinion either.

If sales go up and income improves, keep in mind anyone would need to have double the downloads to equal the old system, then maybe some people will change their minds. At this stage, I already have the files there, it's not hurting me to do nothing for a year, and just see what happens. I have no inflated expectations.

I wouldn't reach 50k a year even if they added together the SS and BS sales.

I suspect hardly anyone would. It seems a little bit extreme to set a level that's unattainable for pretty much everyone except the top 1% almost and afterthought to make one mountain top over the reasonable levels. Peak could have been 20,000 and 38c if you are over that, and they still wouldn't be having many people get to that. At least it would be a goal that someone might try to reach. 50,000? Nice joke.

Yes I'll pay you 20 million dollars if you can swim across the Atlantic ocean.

I'd love for BS to disclose how many contributors had over 50,000 downloads last year? That would be difficult even for the production line photo factories and the huge collections. Maybe they used a dart board to pick the levels?  ::)

Bigstock was by far the worst site for me. I can't check because my account is closed now, but I think it was about 50 downloads in 2012 ...

oh man its bad, made 350$ since April 2009 (4823 pictures, don't upload there since December 3th 2012)

I do more every month with SS that I have made at BigStock since April 2009 (46 months)

1 month at SS = 67 months at BigStock

Just checked the stats:
869 images sold 2012
$752.71 earnings
4,607 live images
I guess it's not good but for such low earner it's ok.
Cheers,

I sold about 10 files less there than I did at GL last year, but GL made me 4 times as much. I sold about half at my own site as what I did at BS, but my own site made 6 times more. So, I have no desire to sell even more files there and get paid even less.

520 with 2800+ images

2 subs so far, so only 49998 to go. 50000 per year equates to 137 per day so I am not holding my breath! At the rate I am selling them, 2 in five days, I will average 146 per year and reach 50000 in the year 2355. That should make a nice little nest egg for my great, great, great, great, great, great, grandchildren. I will be sure to make a note in my will ;)

336 sales from 460 files, just over $800 in revenue.

Not getting rich, but I have nothing to complain about.

Looks like about 5% on SS http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/if-the-new-bs-rc-system-is-put-in-place-at-ss-which-tier-would-you-be-in/

Second part, I strongly suspect no one even comes close to 50000 on BS alone
