Notice when I logged in today that BigStock will soon take editorial.

I went and took about 500 to submit to Yay. Might get some sales.

NOW Accepting Editorial Image Submissions!

BigStockPhoto announces that it NOW accepts offer Editorial Use image submissions.

What is an Editorial Use image?
Editorial Use images are generally non-model released images taken in public. These can be legally used for purposes of commentary, news, social criticism, editorial works, and satire.

Photographers can now begin uploading their non-released images that are taken in public of new or commentary worthy content -- and soon thereafter, buyers will have access to these images and be able to search for this type of image.

When will the images be available to buyers?
Within a week you'll start seeing these editorial use images on the site and it will grow as photographers upload more and more.
Commonly popular editorial style images include photos of:

    * images of recognizable people
    * images of celebrities
    * images of artworks or other copyright things like logos
    * sports and musical events
    * street scenes
    * newsworthy images of unusual happenings, disasters, public interest, etc.

looks like it's becoming a general trend micros. but I still keep my editorial images for macros because I don't believe editorial images would sale in large quantities ,which I think contradicts with the idea of microstock.That's just my opinion though.

I have submitted a few editorial shots to RF, but I wonder if a shot like the following one of Lundy's Lane would really be used as editorial?  What happens if they use it improperly though?
