Title: May 2008 Earnings per Image at BigStockPhoto
Post by: DanP68 on June 02, 2008, 17:51: We are trying something a little different this month from the Earnings Ratings. Let's measure the amount of earnings per image you received at this agency during the month.

This is a pretty simple calculation. If you had $100 in earnings and 500 images online at BigStockPhoto, then you earned $0.20 per image ($100/500).

For simplicity you might want to use the # of images online at the start of May.

If you just joined the agency, you should probably abstain this month until you have a full month of earnings to measure. If we get enough participation, we might be able to better compare the earnings power of our agencies.

I had 122 images online there at the start of May and not a single sale for the entire month of May.

Post by: DanP68 on June 04, 2008, 01:24: I'm around the 5c-6c per image camp too, but that is enough to keep me uploading. I like Bigstockphoto a lot. They are the only "Mom & Pop" agency in the Big 7, and I have always found them to be very friendly and supportive.

With my portfolio size, I get about $16 to $24 every month. Nothing great, but still nice. Enough for a payout every 45 to 60 days.

May was a very poor month on BS. I was way down on earnings compared to the previous six months, and I uploaded quite a few.

Post by: Roadrunner on June 06, 2008, 11:00: I'm averaging $.033 per image per month. I just let things ride till mid November; then I request a payout. Actually I do that with all sites except 123RF which makes automatic payouts when I hit $50.

Post by: jsnover on June 06, 2008, 11:30: May was pretty poor there - 4 cents for me. Last November was 18 cents though; it seems they're very Christmas-heavy for me and the rest of the year is consistent, but low.
