I have been having problems trying to upload via ftp since last evening (UK time).
I tried again this morning with the same result. I am also getting failures when trying to upload via the web browser.
The files are starting to upload, and then failing after a short time. Anyone else having problems, or is it my end?

There was a notice of FTP upload problems at BigStock on their ALERTS area. The Alert is no gone, so I presume the problem has been fixed.
Try again, then if it is still not working contact service and ask for help.

ok, thanks for the info. I am getting failures on web uploads as well, so its not just ftp.
I will leave it for a bit and see if things get sorted out.

I just tried the web upload and had the same problems. I'll try again in a few hours as they could be making changes on the site and slowing everything down to a standstill. Hope it is something good!

with the new UL limit in place, we know they are looking to clean up excessive trash , so they could be house cleaning too.

So that is why I had my files uploaded twice, once correctly, once with no thumbnails. I deleted them and my approval ratio went down. I thought they announced that removing files will not affect approval ratio anymore?

FTP problems here, too...for over 24 hours. Thought I'd check again, and I was able to connect long enough to upload 205K before the connection was disconnected.

I'm having ftp problems too.
Also, the new upload limit is a pain. I'm at just below the unlimited requirement of 92%, so I can only submit 50. 50 a day might not be bad, but it's not 50 a day. It's 50 in the upload queue, so I have to check every day until the queue is cleared. It's annoying.
Overall I'm wondering if it's worth it to continue with bigstock, which only makes up about 3% of my microstock income. It used to be easy and simple to submit, so it wasn't a problem. Now that I have to go out of my way and add extra steps to my workflow, combined with technical problems. It doesn't seem worth it anymore.

Site's been buggy for a couple of days. Not sure what is going on. Never understood upload limits. They are either turning down business, or just making us work harder to upload the same number of images. They need to hire good reviewers and pay them what the job is worth.

They finally put an alert back up, but failed to mention the http upload image page is also broken.
There have been having some problems with recent ftp uploads and have disabled FTP uploads till the issues have been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your patience.
We are working hard to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Greetings all, as of 10 am European time BigStock still has FTP is temporarily disabled posted. Its been a few days now . . . so what is going on. Being new to this game is this kind of thing normal?

It's not normal, but it does happen on occasion.

FTP is working again . . . . seems to be faster then before, maybe its just me.
