Title: Stats Problems at Bigstock
Post by: Karimala on December 22, 2011, 13:15
Yesterday I was 10 cents away from a payout at Bigstock.  After some sales were posted late last night, my cleared earnings dropped.  And then this morning more sales were posted and my cleared earnings dropped again.  Now I'm $18.90 away from payout.  Huh?  I checked my daily sales to see exactly how many images I'd sold, and two photos were sold multiple times at the same time and price.  Obviously the wonky monsters have attacked Bigstock and are playing around with our stats.  I notified BS, but wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue or if it's just me.

Yes... just got off live chat with "Erick."  My image count changed again ... this time gaining the 6 images I lost previously.  Not certain, but think there is something happening?

I just tried requesting a payout.  When it got to the buttons to choose how you want to be paid, I tried selecting, but the buttons cannot be checked.  Definitely bugs going on here.

But the good news about BigStock, at least for me, is that they've been on a real roll lately, sales-wise.

I'm seeing great, steady growth... now in the $20 a day range.  Yesterday is the first day since I started at iStock that BigStock beat IS.  Oh how the mighty have fallen and formerly small players are benefiting from the missteps of the ignorant and the arrogant.

Oh yeh!  Sales are fantastic at Bigstock!  My earnings this month are higher than IS's for the first time ever, too.

Not seeing "fantastic" sales but definitely on the upswing ... and I am closing in on a thousand images at BS.

I really don't understand. I have nearly 1,200 of my images (i.e. not my whole portfolio) at BigStock and I've had 2 sales this week and 1 last week - that's just pitiful. I'm doing much better at PhotoDune with only about 300+ of my images uploaded.

I'm glad some are seeing increased activity there, but I've been thinking that uploading any more is just a waste (although I'll leave what I have a there's no point in removing it). I wonder why the difference?

Maybe the difference is between new portfolios and old, kinda like SS.  I haven't uploaded anything to BS in two years, and yet my sales are definitely on the upswing.

I've noticed that hardly any of my sales occur on images less that 6 months old ... usually even older.

And, I'm not seeing a lot of sales ... just enough to keep me hopeful.
