I see they have disabled uploading till Monday again.
It seems every time I try to upload to them I get the same problem  :(

i hate it when they do that ... imho they do it all too often
i would think it would be in their best interest to hire more image inspectors

Every time I decide to do upload they have it disabled. I have not uploaded anything new to Bigstock in months. I upload on my schedule not theirs.

But if they keep blocking uploading, maybe those pesky photographers will just go away and they won't need more reviewers. Otherwise, instead of 10 a day for the next 4 days, I'll upload 40 on Monday and it won't make a * bit of difference to their que.

Maybe that is their plan, for me it just means I'll upload on a weekday evening instead, quite how that helps to reduce the queue beats me.

Strangely I can still upload & submit (Just did both - 22 new images)

This is the first Friday in a MONTH I've been able to submit on a Friday after 5pm.

Try again - see what's up.

It works for me too and there is nothing on the alert page about uploads disabled. ???

If they're closed every weekend and you only upload on your schedule (weekends) you haven't uploaded to BigStock in a long time.

Well I said that in my post. So I was confused why Miz would say it again, if that is indeed what he meant.

I started this post on Friday morning when I couldn't connect via FTP.
I went to the site, and there was a message that uploading was disabled till 8am Monday 14th.
I see some were still able to load, so tried this am, Sat, and it works fine. The notice at the site has also gone!!!!
Maybe they read these posts and thought better of it. Very strange.

I'm on the fence with this one. BigStock does some good advertising, so I like that they are making an effort to promote the site and generate new business. Then they have this annoying weekend hold on uploads, which is frustrating and disruptive to the uploading workflow, points to a lack of enough reviewers. So if they hired new reviewers, would that money need to come out of advertising or some other area that would have an equally negative effect on us?

I'd love to see more reviewers there so they can stop this silly upload freeze, but at the same time I wouldn't want them to have to cut budgets in other areas of the business to make it happen.

They've done it yet again.  Here goes yet another weekend without being able to upload.  I think I'm going to dump these guys once I've reached a payout.  Between iStock's upload limits, BS' downtime, StockXpert's horribly slow review times, I'm going crazy!!!  arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :o

I don't care if I can't upload: 40 images waiting for review and 30 pending my edit  ;D

It just disrupts my workflow and it's aggravating.  I have a folder where set aside images "waiting for iStock."  Now I guess I'm going to need another one "waiting for BigStock."  I just sometimes have to wonder if it's all really worthwhile.  Maybe I'm just crabby today.  lol

This situation at Bigstock is a little worrying given the news this week about LuckyOliver.  Usually the first signs of financial stress in a business is its inability to spend to recruit correct numbers of staff etc, invest in needed equipment and provide a full and proper service.  I hope they manage to get things sorted out.

Maybe if Bigstock is closing, it will make more buyers for others. And then I will be able to catch my money more often than whit Bigstock ;)

They were open last weekend, so I guess they've got to play catch-up.  Maybe with the closing of LO more buyers will trickle over to BigStock, which could put them in a position to hire some more reviewers.  One can hope, anyway.

My BS sales are really off.  Hardly moving anything there the last several weeks, really bad......  really, the only thing working for me right now  is SS  and IS.  I like BS, hope they don't go belly up on us.  8)=tom

I agree it is inconvenient to not be able to upload when we want to, but I definitely don't see any indications that things are slowing down on BigStock saleswise.

In fact my sales there are up the past couple of weeks.
