Title: Vector files at BigStock too dark?

Anyone else notice a huge difference in their vector files at BS compared to other sites? Here's an example:

Image at BS: http://www.bigstockphoto.com/image-10519598/stock-vector-building-illustrations (http://www.bigstockphoto.com/image-10519598/stock-vector-building-illustrations)

Same image at GL: http://graphicleftovers.com/graphic/building-illustrations/ (http://graphicleftovers.com/graphic/building-illustrations/)

The GL version is what my JPG looks like and how the image looks at all other stock sites. What does BS do differently with vector files? Any ideas on how to avoid this at BS?

wow... BS makes them look so bad... you should bring this matter up with BS

On another note, nice job on those illustrations. I couldnt help compare your dls and view count you got from istock on that file as oppose to GL which goes to show the difference in the amount of buyers on each site. If you had gotten dls from GL, is there a big price difference from your take?

Not a huge difference with this file, since it's a 15 credit file at istock. The rare exception in my portfolio. Usually my stuff gets the 12 credit price tag. So based on what I'm getting per DL on average at istock and what I'd get at GL, the difference is about $0.25 per sale more at GL. Hardly a noticeable difference.

Are you sure that the jpeg uploaded to Bigstock was RGB and not CMYK?

Yep, RGB only.
I got a response from support saying the same thing, that CMYK files will not generate the preview image accurately. But my files are always 100% RGB.

The solution is to just upload a JPG with each EPS file, that way the preview is generated from the JPG, not the EPS file. Which unfortunately can't be done via FTP, so I'm back to the web uploader.

Yes, same problem here, back to the html form.
They could at least process the files xxx.jpg as a preview for xxx.eps when uploading by ftp...
