Title: 100% Crop with the Canon Xsi -
Post by: Whiz on May 15, 2008, 22:42
Just in case any of you are thinking about buying this camera but are worried about the quality, here's a 100% crop with the Xsi. I don't know if the quality is as good as the 40D, but it's not too bad. And the picture is of some miniature pizzas.

I used the  Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens.  :)

Wouldnt it better to take a photo of something where the sharpness could be view better?
That image seems an abstract... thing

Apart from looking a bit too soft, the image is fine.
What aperture did you use?

The money was shot at F9, and the pizza was shot at F10.

Then you'll need to (or at least you should) brush up on sharpening techniques if you plan to use this lens for macro shots. You might also want to play around with the aperture so that you know it's 'sweet spot'. The camera seems up to the task, though.

... good luck!
