There appears to be a lot anecdotal stuff, but not much to go on. Regardless, seems like a lot of camera for $2000.

A good second hand example at a good price would be an excellent starter into full frame shooting, but with good lighting as an essential as anything over the lowest iso just does not cut the mustard noise-wise in comparison with more recent cameras, also subject to bad CA on cheap lenses.Plus it's the only avenue for full frame with Nikon lenses at the moment.

More anecodotal stuff:
I once considered purchasing this camera on the cheap, but changed my mind after reading nothing but bad reviews. I do not know anyone who has owned one.

I speak from experience and have no buyers regret whatsoever :)
