I just saw this new little gadget for iPhone (http://www.togtech.com/stuff-we-like/tracking-your-gear-with-iphone-app-bikn/), a phone case with tags that you can track. Perhaps it is a nice solution to keeping track of your bag on trips and such where there are bag thieves hiding in the shadows :)
