When I was young they were telling me that Nikon produces cameras and Canon produces fax and copy machines  ;)

Happy Olympus user

I love the Olympus colours right out of camera with default settings and no post-processing.
Plus, lightweight and small which is great for travelling.

I'm the other happy Olympus user - I'd like a full frame, but then of course it would be bigger and heavier...

Nice to see other fellow photographers using Olympus

^ Used them a long time.

Used to be OM-4 and OM-2, now it's E-30 and E-510.

I am sorry, I mis-voted. For some reason I missed the Pentax box. So the "other" vote should be removed and placed in the "Pentax" box.

You can do that yourself - click "Remove Vote" and then re-vote.

I'm also a Nikon-Fan! I have two Nikon cameras and I like both a lot and I'm very satisfied with the pictures which they make, although there are also some good cameras from other brands. Canon is not that bad. (For pocket cameras I like Olympus most, but it's just a personal preference). At the end it's just important that you are able to handle it!

Canon, and will go to a semi-pro/pro body soon ( already having some limitations with 450D )

I'm not a fan. If Nikon or Pentax offer me a nice gear to work, then yes, i will be a fanboy LOL

Had to change my vote...  I wanted full frame, and Olympus just don't seem to be interested in going that way, so now I have a Canon too.

Still have the Olympus E30 though, at least until I can get more lenses for the 5D.  And I'd have to say that, while the Canon is better in most every technical way (as it should be - it cost twice as much), I do actually still prefer the handling of the Olympus.

So, if you see someone wandering around with a Canon on one shoulder and an Olympus on the other, it'll be me.

You'll be much happier with the 5D if you don't keep comparing it to the E30! Stop shooting the Oly for about a year and you'll start to forget the nice way it handles, and all the idiosyncrasies of the Canon will become normal!

I'm sure you're right, I just have to get used to it...  except first I'll need a few more lenses to match the range I have for the E30!

Just as well my last few months have been good earners!
