I'm seriously thinking of ordering this lens on monday.
Anyone here has any experience with it?
pros and cons?
I will use it mainly for macro.

Own it
Its incredibly sharp and fast
Can't really complain about anything with it. Have used it for everything including hockey and bugs. Great lens and would highly recommend it.
Should come in L build.
One of my favourite lenses

I will happily second this. I own this macro and I am very satisfied. I use it for many stock photos incl. portraits, macros, still-life, ... It is very sharp and reliable.

I've had this lens with a 20D for a while, and it's a good, sharp lens. Did you look at the chat on the Fred Miranda Forums (http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=47&sort=7&cat=2&page=1) to get a lot of comments - largely very positive - about the lens?

I've had mine for over a year. Even though it's quite expensive it's a really descent lens to work with. Very fast, quiet and sharp. If I lost mine I would replace it immediately, can't say more than that. ;)

I own Sigma 105mm f2.8 DX EX Macro, cheaper but it's very sharp lens. I wonder how they compare?

I did look at the forums at Fred Miranda, but wanted to hear first hand opinions from other stockers :)
I just ordered it from adorama.
Isn't it fun buying equipment without a credit card, and just using your stock money from paypal? ;)

I don't think you'll be sorry with this lens. I use one quite a bit with my stuff. It isn't the widest, though, but for closeup stuff the lens is awesome.

Must agree with the others, you def. wont regret buying this one. It's the favorite in my backpack :)

Super lens. Without question my go-to lens in the studio. Fast, sharp and worth the cost many times over.

I was looking for a macro lens some months ago and didnt know if buying canon 100 f2.8 or tamron 90 f2.8 (very sharp, lighter and cheaper).
Finaly I went for the Canon. I only use it in the studio but I love it
