Just wondering if anyone is going to be running to get one of these bad boys? Shipped out yesterday and should be available soon.
Really want one and I think it would definitely help take my shooting to the next level (since I would like to do a lot more of sports/indoor stuff) and the extra MP will definitely help get more money on IS (not to mention the super-noise results.

well as soon as the 'new camera fund' is large enough it will be put on the shopping list.
Hopefully before next wedding season, but we shall see...... :) heres hoping....

It seem the 1D mark III have severe autofocus problem. But I doesn't read the whole thing to know if it's affecting the 1 DS. There are some whit a specific serial number who are affected by this problem... I think they talk about on any photography forum.

I think it was mostly a problem with the first back of the 1D cameras.
I can't imagine Canon letting focus problems slide on cameras in this price range.

I heard a rumor they delayed the release of the 1Ds Mark III because prototypes had the same issue. As with the 1D Mark III, I'll wait until the kinks are worked out.

Yes. I forgot to say that the problem is solved now. But it can be some body who still have this problem...You must check the serial number to know it.
