Yup, just saw that!  I'm going to spring for the 100mm Macro.  Might also update my Mums printer with that 22 all in one they have, Canon printers are supposed to be pretty good.

I have an issue with the whole sales tax/VAT/GST thing.

If goods are sold to someone outside the country, I am pretty sure the seller is not required to collect or report the tax.

I think they are just charging it and pocketing it.

Litifeta,

I don't know how these things work, but as far as I know, in countries where foreigners can claim VAT back (like in the EEC), not every store can to the tax refund. I believe something is required from them.

I don't know how this works with online sales, though.

I imagine most countries use a similar system to Australia. They would do a business activity statement and then claim back their lost input tax credits.

Should not matter whether they sell online on to a customer with an overseas airline ticket. The reporting schedule should be the same or similar in most countries I would imagine. But I have been wrong before, and most probably will be again.
