Post by: litifeta on August 27, 2008, 21:09
www.canonrumor.com (http://www.canonrumors.com) has received a Cease and Desist following their latest leak. They have to change their domain name now ... copyright infringement ...

Forgot the 's' on the end. I was thinking that was the fastest de-registration I'd ever seen! ;)

Yeah, I was thinking that was a pretty fast takedown.

I want to believe that camera with 21mp  and full weather sealed rumor and better noise handling.this would make it worth waiting for so long.

I love my 5D and haven't felt the need to upgrade until recently, but I am getting itchy for some more megapixels.

If Canon doesn't come up with something soon they are going to be losing that segment of the market.  Surely they have figured this out and will have something to offer.

I can never understand why manufacturers get so uptight about this sort of thing.

I also write and writers are constantly reminded, in magazines for example, that 'kleenex' and 'sellotape' and 'hoover' etc. are brand names and must not be used without permission.

Surely all this sort of stuff gives the company publicity. Even if it is rumours it still keeps Canon in the public eye and that can't be bad, can it?

I agree. This is getting really stupid. You are allowed to take photos of almost nothing, you are allowed to write about almost nothing - and everything because of some stupid brand names or copyrights or logos. But try to get some products WITHOUT logos. It is almost impossible! So why they print their bloody logos everywhere when they are so anxious about seeing them in pictures then?
